Easy Crockpot Carne Guisada

I went to Costco last week and purchased some eye of round roast that came in a two pack. I made beef soup with the first one and Carne Guisada with the second. The Carne Guisada is AMAZING! Make it and thank me later!

I was inspired by a YouTuber named Gochujang Mamá, but as usual, I had to make it my own.

2-3 pounds of beef cut into bite-size chunks. I used some cheap eye of round roast.
8oz water with 2 beef bullion cubes in it and dissolved. I had liquid concentrated beef stock.
6 tbs all purpose flour mixed in 1/2-3/4 cup cold water, mix into a slurry.
1 large white or yellow onion cut into chunks
1 can diced tomatoes or 1 large tomato cut into chunks
2-3 tbs garlic powder
1tbs onion power
1 tbs cumin powder
1 packet of onion soup mix.
2 serranos cut up or 1 serrano and 1 habanero
Salt and paper to taste
Optional: Cilantro 1/2 a bunch.

Cut the meat put it in the crockpot, mix your flour water and beef broth all together and dump it in. Open the can of tomatoes and dump it. Take your cut up onion, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin powder, serranos, habanero and onion soup mix and dump it in. add salt and pepper to taste (I put in about 2 tsp of each). Give it a good mix and cover. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. I cut my meat into bite-size pieces so it was ready after 5 hours. I also opted to add finely cut cilantro to it at the end.

I put this to cook at 8 am and made tacos for a late lunch with shredded cheddar on flour tortillas. I wish I had avocado and sour cream to complete the perfect taco.

Thank me after you make it. It is delicious!

So tender and delicious!
Great on tortillas!
